Welcome to the website dedicated to ropemaking. Its aim is to promote and popularise this rather simple yet little-known occupation.
By coincidence, I settled in Wieliczka, a town that used to be one of the most important ropemaking centres in Poland. I try to remind people of these traditions.
I encourage active ropemakers and people interested in the subject of the old craft to cooperate with me. I will also be grateful for any help, hints and comments on the content of this site, as well as information about ropemaking that I have not yet been able to access. The site will gradually be expanded and supplemented.
